Spring clean + Giveaway

I don't know about you, but the change of seasons tends to be the time when I am most motivated to have a bit of a wardrobe cleanout. We had a taste of Spring in Brisbane in the last couple of weeks and I was into shorts and ready to banish my coats to the back of the warbrobe. Unfortunately now the rain has set in and the temperature has dropped back down, forcing me back into jeans and jackets.

But I did manage to get in a little cleanout. It was going to be a much bigger cleanout, until my husband saw the pile and proceeded to drag things back out, telling me they were too pretty and I needed to wear them more and was not allowed to part with them.

So I'm sorry, but my Sretsis Zoey bow dress in orange and Dandelion dress in purple didn't quite make it to ebay (sooo close - I was trying to be ruthless) But there are quite a few other items that did, including my beloved Lover Madeleine coat and ritual silk dress. Yes, there are items that I have featured on this blog and proclaimed to be my favourites... but, let's face it, I just have far too many clothes. And seeing as I am inclined to keep adding to this, some things had to go.

In celebration (or commiseration?) of my wardrobe cleanse, I am offering a giveaway. If you would like a chance to win these ASOS heart suspender tights (and are one of the few bloggers who don't already own them ;) please become a follower (if you aren't already) and leave a comment on this post describing your ideal outfit for this Spring. Northern Hemisphere followers, you may describe your ideal winter outfits. The tights are brand new and still in packaging.

I would like to say that the competition will close when I hit 50 followers, or something like that, but that will possibly never happen... so let's say the competition will close on Wednesday 29th September at 8:30pm, to correspond with my ebay listings.

WIN! Goodbye old faithful

  1. My ideal winter outfit involves a camel cape over a high-waisted dress, cute stockings, and thigh high boots.

  2. My ideal outfit actually comes from a picture I saw in a catalogue years ago haha. It's still the first thing I think about when I think of spring fashion.

The girl is wearing a strapless pastel floral dress, similar cloth headband in hair, and teamed with a pair of RMK steroes in yoghurt. I have the Stereos, but still on the hunt for that perfect floral dress to make my spring outfit dream come to life haha. xx

  3. P.S. My partner is the same! Whenever I start making up a pile of clothes to sell he makes me put back half of it back because he "likes that dress", or I should keep it "just in case". Hahaha

  4. P.P.S. Haha sorry, just forgot to add that even though he encourages me to keep things, two days later he'll be complaining about how there is not enough space in our wardrobe and that I have too many clothes LOL.

Sorry for the comment spam! You don't have to post these, just thought I would share that with you as it sounds like you can relate to how amusing it is!

  5. You're right, those tights are rather popular in the blogging world - but I think they're super cute... and don't own them!

My perfect spring outfit would be a pair of blush-coloured, high waisted shorts with scalloped 'hem', a loose white singlet with a little breast pocket (A. Wang seems to always go well :P), and a long drapey assymetrical knit (that goes around knee-length), say black and white patterned. As for shoes, I'd say something nude and strappy.

  9. Spring! It's actually been so cold and rainy lately that I feel like it's never going to come...I still haven't been out without tights yet! My ideal spring outfit would probably be something simple and floral (how original!) and flat boots.

  13. Woo! An hour and a bit to go before the competition closes! haha.

My ideal outfit for Spring is lots of peach! I can't get enough of this colour, I just ordered some high waisted peach shorts from Urban Outfitters; then perhaps, a cute lacy tee, my chunky pastel coloured Elke jewellry and my floral flats.

Hm, those shorts can't come soon enough!
