Buy now: Karla Spetic

I have had a growing liking for Karla Spetic over her past two collections, and particularly the focus on Australian landscapes in her prints. I love the skirts in her recent 'Borderlands' collection, featuring plain leather back, and printed silk front - stunning! In comparison, I found the prints her new collection, shown at RAFW, rather disappointing. Oh well, best to grab a couple of pieces now and save my money next season.

Current collection: Love the pants and skirt, both with printed front and black back:

Previous collection: beautiful pastels and Australian landscapes:

New collection: I'll give this one a miss:

  1. Wow I have never heard of this designer before, but she does lovely work! How cool that she integrates landscapes as well. Thank you for sharing - just followed your fantastic blog :)

  2. I absolutely adored last season but just cringed at the prices on top of all the usual Karen Walker/Lover pieces I purchase... oh and shoes.
Ahh I know I'm selling it cos I never wear it and I'm trying to make some room in my wardrobe for when I go to the USA. PS. I know i'm awful at replying to PMs on vogue, sorry! I hardly go on there since the threads I like to read come straight to my inbox haha

  3. i agree-prefer the current season. I'm really into these realistic/photo image prints [like Milk From A Thistle horse prints]...What's just shown has elements I like but overall, meh, shrug. but I have a soft spot for the lime green suit she just showed....sorry.

  5. yes SO good! I agree, some of the pieces in her new collection were beautiful.. but that spearmint green matching suit is the most horrible thing to come out of RAFW.
