I'm a sucker for prints, and Karla Spetic's canvas-worthy creations for her 'Borderlands' collection had me at "hello". I'd been eying off this leather-backed skirt and when I saw it at 50% off at Joy Hysteric I couldn't resist. I played around with styling it with both warmer and cooler styles to bring me into Spring:

Sportsgirl blouses (the brown one circa 2002!)
Lilya wedges and Stuart Weitzman brogues
Next was the Karen Walker blouse from my previous post - plain and casual with shorts and wedges; substituted a skirt some mixed print action:

Finally, a Karla Spetic blouse, also a sale purchase from the 'Borderlands' collection. Seriously, her prints are irresistible. The colours are a little darker than I usually go for, which I've found makes it an easy go-to for nights out. I like to keep the styling fairly plain with this one:

Wow, a seriously amazing print! Like a work of art :) xo
ReplyDeleteAhhh I've wanted that skirt for so long! It looks great on you - you've almost convinced me to get it. Is it a small fit?
ReplyDeleteLove that skirt and top!!
ReplyDeleteSo different to what is usually seen!
Madison, you should get it - half price ;) It's not a small fit, I'm an 8-10 and went with the 10. I actually could have gone with the 8 but felt more comfortable with a slightly looser look. Just keep in mind that not all of the skirts will have the door on them, as it depends where the fabric was cut. The size 8 that I tried on did not feature the door and had a more creamy brickwork, not as yellow as my skirt.
ReplyDeleteI love prints too and those prints are amaaaaaaaazing. that skirt with the turquoisey blouse looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteLike the skirt!
