Dresses by Karen Walker and Sara Phillips
This Karen Walker dress is lots of fun, with its quirky scout badge print. But for some reason, the loose-fitting silk crepe de chine bodice and chiffon sleeves look completely elegant - such a contrast! The colours are very flattering and the dress looks good belted (as shown here with my Karen Walker chain belt) or unbelted. Buy from Karen Walker or Maximillia (it's very well-priced too!)
I'd mentioned in a previous post that Sarah Phillip's latest collection had caught my eye, and this was the main dress that I was lusting after. Adorable shirt dress style with pleated skirt, in the softest silk and the most gorgeous colours. This dress also comes in a colour-block version for those who want to be more on trend... but this patterned one was just my style. Buy from Sarah Phillips.

New purchases in the middle of a cull are always nice. Is it bad that I have come back from my holiday only to decide that I no longer really like much of my wardrobe? Good on you for doing a cull though :)
ReplyDeleteI love those KW dresses, how comfortable are they too right? I got it in the grey floral bouquet and love how belting it transforms the look.
Okay well I am going to go and continue being jetlagged now...
These are great dresses- love the prints!

Both the prints are awesome! But I really love the first one especially, so quirky-cute :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous choice of dresses, the Karen Walker print is so fun! I adore Maximillia - they have such an amazing range of brands and always seem to have a sale of some sort :) If all my money wasn't going to Forever New and my Alannah Hill layby at the moment, I would be shopping non-stop there! x Sushi
ReplyDeleteJealous! You got the badge print Karen Walker dress! It looks great belted too.
ReplyDeleteLove the collar of the Sarah Phillips dress! Both your new dresses are so perfectly light and colourful and will be great for summer
Love the KW dress....I ended up going with the two tone chambray, but wished I had gone for a print.
ReplyDeleteadore that karen walker print!! and karen walker in general :) x
ReplyDeletei love the print of the second dress! this just made me realise that i dont think i own any printed clothing thats not pajama related...i should change that!
ReplyDeleteoh, and in regards to the lover tag, do you mean the one with the care instructions on it? I havent found that it becomes exposed, but what i do find is that when there's a breeze the whole dress comes apart exposing mu entire leg and underwear :p
The print on that dress is so sweet. Love it!
