I'd had my eye
on these Karen Walker Perfect Day boat pants for awhile, but thought the
printed pants trend wouldn't last too long... but then I saw that she's made a whole heap more for her new collection, The American Girl... and they were on sale... what can I say?
So many printed pants! This dress looks great too:
Not to mention a BUG PRINT top! (I think you can imagine my excitement):
Printed pants are admittedly a little hard to style, but I think they work best with minimal accessories.
Here's a few outfits with my Perfect Day pants:
A pop of colour and a little texture: with Zara cropped sweater
Matched with a neutral white: silk blouse by Sretsis (those flowers turn purple in the sun!)
similar tone in a lighter shade: Sretsis silk blouse... And you have to see the close-up of this (adorable!):

ReplyDeleteI have the grey flannel and pegs version of her pants..love them 'nuff said. I was pretty unsure about a print trouser and have ended up making several pairs out of random fabrics....so easy to wear.
Love your choice of print from the Perfect Day range. I think you and I may be KW's biggest supporters financially :)

I love Karen Walker's prints! I recently purchased a cute pair of KW shorts (my first KW piece!) but they make me look wide as a house :( But I'm determined to find some way of making them work... x Sushi
